The international conference ‘Circus – a safe(r) space for danger’ is targeted at circus professionals active in the sector (programmers, artists, teachers, distributors, producers,…) in Belgium or abroad with an interest in the topic of safety. With this conference we aim to bring together as many circus professionals as possible to tackle the topic of safety in circus. Participants are invited to share their views, approaches, and learnings.

You can travel to campus by car, but this is not the most optimal choice. A low-emission zone (LEZ) is in force in Antwerp city centre. Check here whether your vehicle is allowed inside. Campus Spoor Noord - Ellermanstraat is located in the red parking zone: street parking is limited and expensive. There are public car parks nearby: Godefriduskaai or Sint-Jansplein. On the outskirts of the city you will find several park and rides (P+Rs). Here you can park for free for longer periods of time and easily transfer to bike, tram or bus.
Tram 24: Silsburg – Havenhuis will take you closest to STORMKOP (Stop: Havenhuis).
There is a bike park at the entrance to STORMKOP. Nearest Velo station (223) is on Rijnkaai (just before the Red Star Line museum).

MAD Festival is easily accessible on foot or by bike, either alone or in combination with another mode of transportation. We have a large bike parking at the entrance of the festival grounds.
Don't have your own bike? You can use a Velo, a convenient bike-sharing system from the City of Antwerp. The nearest Velo stations are ZNA Cadix (128), Spoor Noord Skatebowl (136), and Cadix Oost (222).
Find the most suitable train to Antwerp-Central station with the NMBS planner. From Opera metro station (5 min. via Keyserlei), take tram 1 towards P+R Luchtbal to the fourth stop, ZNA Cadix. On De Lijn's website, you can plan the complete route from your home address to our festival grounds.
You can contact the company Antwerp-Tax at 03 238 38 38 and antwerp-tax.be. With the antwerp-tax mobile app, you can easily find, order, and track a taxi. The app is available for free for iPhone and Android.
MAD Festival lies within the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in Antwerp, which aims to improve air quality. Check whether your vehicle is allowed or not, and whether you need to register it to avoid a fine.
Planning to come to MAD Festival by car nevertheless? Consider carpooling: it's more enjoyable, cheaper, better for the environment, and you'll spend less time looking for parking.
You can park in the paid parking at Sint-Jansplein. From there, it's a 1 km walk to the festival grounds. Or opt for one of the Park & Rides outside the city center: there you can park for free and avoid the LEZ. Several public transport connections will get you to the festival grounds.
